Kissimmee, Florida, March 31, 2011- The “Horse and the Hun” will be hangared together at Stallion 51’s facilities located at the Kissimmee Gateway Airport.

WWII Fighter Aircraft Foundation and the rare FW190 Weisse Eins restoration project is moving his restoration center and museum to Stallion 51 Corporation’s Hangar 2.

The Foundation is in the process of moving his impressive collection of German aircraft support equipment and the extremely rare FW190 Dora 9 project and the P-51D Mustang project, “Missy” will be joining the other restoration projects in the near future.

Over a decade ago, Mark Timken, took on the herculean effort to restore the German war veteran back to flying condition. This would be no ordinary restoration project; WWII Fighter Aircraft Foundation would restore the FW 190 F-8 model (Werk-Nr. 931862) exactly to its former 1945 flight condition. The team of aircraft conservators are using the original blue prints, specifications, parts, materials, paints, compounds and one of the two remaining flight-worthy BMW 801 engines to bring this front line veteran back to flying status.  WWII Fighter Aircraft Foundation’s Focke-Wulf will be only the 2nd flying FW 190 in the air when completed and the most original in existence.

Tours of the Museum and Restoration Center are available by appointment only to members of the WWII Fighter Aircraft Foundation. Information on the project and the collection, membership and reservations for a tour of the restoration center can be found at www.WWIIFighterAircraftFoundation.org.

With the German Focke-Wulf moving next door to Crazy Horse it will be “The Horse and the Hun” in the hangar!
