Stallion 51 Corporation, the world-renowned experts in P-51 Mustang orientation and training flights, USAF Heritage Flight Demonstrations and a leader in the preservation and operation of military war bird aircraft, proudly announces it’s newest and most innovative creation.
AVMED 51, a fully operational Aviation Medicine and Pilot Oriented Medical Clinic, focuses on the care and wellbeing of aviators and flight crews at all levels of experience and backgrounds. Established as a “Squadron Flight-Line Clinic”, in support of the high tempo and high performance flight operations routinely conducted at Stallion 51, AVMED 51 is a stand-alone entity located within the corporations newest and most modern office building.
AVMED 51 and its staff provide consultative services in aviation medicine and physiology, general fitness evaluations for high performance flying as well as all classes of FAA Aviation Medical Exams and providing general ophthalmologic and vision care tailored to the aviator and aircrew. Adjunct services include individualized training and briefings regarding the unique aviation and aerospace physiologic situations offered at Stallion 51.
Dr. William T. Busch, Naval Aviator/Flight Surgeon/Ophthalmologist and FAA Senior Aviation Medical Examiner, serves as the corporate officer in charge of the daily endeavors of AVMED 51.

Ophthalmologic and Vision Care: Offered are full medical ophthalmologic exams to include glasses refraction, glaucoma test and management, dilated retinal exams, diabetic retinopathy screening, cataract checks and minor office procedures. Ophthalmologic Eye Emergencies should go to the nearest Hospital Emergency Room or call 911.
Training and Briefings: Individual and small group training and discussions on a wide array of aviation physiologic and flight scenarios to include, but not limited to—Human Factors, Spatial Disorientation, G-Induced Loss of Consciousness (G-LOC), Hypoxia, Altitude and Breathing Oxygen, Physiologic Stressors of High Performance Flight, Aviator Health Care Maintenance, Aging Pilot Considerations, NTSB Mishap Review and more. Fees apply on an individual basis.
