Aircraft Maintenance

Maintenance support for Stallion 51 Corporation is provided by Stallion 51 Maintenance Operations. This maintenance organization has been in business for over twenty years and specializes in Warbird restorations, periodic inspections, and discrepancy repairs for clients throughout the country.

Stallion 51 Maintenance Operations is directed by Peter and Richard Lauderback. Peter and Richard began their aviation career as maintenance technicians in the United States Air Force working on various operational aircraft including the C-5 and C-141 transports. After completing their military obligation, they furthered their education at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, graduating with both Airframe and Powerplant licenses.

Stallion 51 Maintenance Operations has been responsible for the complete restoration and return to operation of more than ten aircraft including P-51 Mustangs and P-40 Kittyhawks. Currently they maintain and perform annual inspections on twelve different Mustangs. They also have extensive experience on various other Warbirds such as P-40's, Bearcats, MiGs, T-6's and Helicopters.

Quality maintenance is a vital key element in the safe operation of high-performance aircraft. This on-site maintenance team understands the daily and periodic operational requirements that not only enhance safety, but also leads to maximum scheduling flexibility. Stallion 51 Maintenance Operations has received numerous awards for restoration projects such as EAA's Silver Wrench, Grand Champion Warbird and Best Mustang awards. The EAA also presented them with a special award in recognition of continued excellence and uncompromising devotion in promoting vintage aircraft safety, operational quality and longevity.
