Maintenance
support for Stallion 51 Corporation
is provided by Stallion 51 Maintenance Operations.
This maintenance organization has been in business
for over twenty years and specializes in Warbird restorations,
periodic inspections, and discrepancy repairs for
clients throughout the country.
Stallion 51 Maintenance
Operations is directed by Peter and Richard Lauderback. Peter and Richard
began their aviation career as maintenance technicians in the United States Air
Force working on various operational aircraft including the C-5 and C-141 transports.
After completing their military obligation, they furthered their education at
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, graduating with both Airframe and Powerplant
licenses.
Stallion 51 Maintenance
Operations has been responsible for the complete restoration and return to
operation of more than ten aircraft including P-51 Mustangs and P-40 Kittyhawks.
Currently they maintain and perform annual inspections on twelve different Mustangs.
They also have extensive experience on various other Warbirds such as P-40's,
Bearcats, MiGs, T-6's and Helicopters.
Quality
maintenance is a vital key element in the safe operation
of high-performance aircraft. This on-site maintenance
team understands the daily and periodic operational
requirements that not only enhance safety, but also
leads to maximum scheduling flexibility. Stallion
51 Maintenance Operations has received numerous
awards for restoration projects such as EAA's Silver
Wrench, Grand Champion Warbird and Best Mustang awards.
The EAA also presented them with a special award in
recognition of continued excellence and uncompromising
devotion in promoting vintage aircraft safety, operational
quality and longevity.
